Photos folders do not sync to iPad

Decided to purchase an iPad so that I could take my engineering library of pics etc to use at meetings. Does not work, all I end up with is a muddled mess of disordered photos.

The iPad does not have the same sidebar as the Mac, so does not have a folder hierarchy, bizarre given that other apps do

All that carries across are the albums, not the folders they are nested in. An impossible situation if one is reliant on the original file system for finding items

Hope there is a solution out there or another app

Look forward to a reply, Ron

Hi

Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it. Tried your suggestion but found it too slow and not really what I need.

Need the ability to quickly scroll through the photos for viewing in Photos.

I like using the file sharing feature in iTunes for moving files around from Mac to iPad and vice versa. Problem here is that Photos is not an app represented in this feature, iPhotos was and of course not functioning anymore - Apples knocking off Aperture has now taken the last professional app away - Lightroom is a clunker of an app. Hopefully iPadOS 13 will fix the issue but have a suspicion the ability to control the iPad through iTunes is about to disappear as well.
