Record system audio to Logic using Soundflower

For some reason this isn't working. I have system sound output set to soundflower 2ch and logic input set to soundflower 2 ch, output is my interface (setting the out to soundflower doesn't change the situation). I have the track record enabled and there is no sound getting to the fader. What am I missing?

Troubleshooting or glitch? New audio tracks default to "no output" I have searched the internet but not found an answer to this. I am using Logic 10.5.1 on a Macbook Pro running Mojave 10.14.6. When I add a new audio track to a project it defaults to "no output" and I have to manually change its setting to "stereo output". This happens whether I am recording audio, adding a new audio track, or dragging audio loops to create a new audio track. It doesn't happen when I make new drummer or midi tracks. For ease of reference I've included a screenshot of a new project with a newly added audio track. I have searched preferences with advanced tools on and can find no setting for what output new tracks default to. Can anyone help? It must be a glitch, right? Obviously I can change it to stereo output each time but it is incredibly frustrating to be doing projects with multiple audio tracks and loops and have to go in and change the setting every time. Recording and Hearing Audio When recording the screen on a MacBook, the internal audio isn't recorded. With Soundflower, I can record on-screen sound without a problem. I do this by setting the laptop's output and QuickTime Player's input to Soundflower. That said, I won't be able to hear anything that happens on screen. Is there a way to play audio on 2 outputs?

Using Quicktime Player to Screen Record with Audio? Hello all, I am trying to use Quicktime player to record my screen with audio for like recording youtube video or webinars, not for any microphone usage. Running Mojave. I have tried setting up Soundflower and blackhole options based off of videos on youtube but they do not work. I am trying to follow this tutorial but it does not work: How to record the screen on your Mac - Apple Support So can anyone tell me if you can use Quicktime on your machine for this with success and if yes, can I trouble you to advise or give me a screenshot of your sound settings so I can try mimicking it on my end please?
