Unexpected shutdown
A few days ago my iPhone unexpectedly shutdown when the battery was around 20%. When it started up again, it had a warning message “This iPhone has experienced an unexpected shutdown because the battery was unable to deliver the necessary peak power. Performance management has been applied to help prevent this from happening again.” It has, however, happened a few times since then (without the message, but unexpected shutdowns when the battery is over 50%).
Battery health under settings shows max capacity 86% and the same above message under peak performance capability.
I’ve also in the last few days had messages about the iPhone not being activated, though I activated it ages ago. It’s an iPhone 8 that I bought new about 1.5 years ago.
I’m currently traveling in India and not connecting to my usual network/only to WiFi, if that would have any impact (or Indian outlet voltage? Though I have the standard converter)
Do I need a new battery? It would be unexpected after only 1.5 years...
