Time Machine

Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to "IMac TimeMachine" is the error message. I have a Seagate1TB external hard drive connected and it is backing up. How do I get TimeMachine to work?

Time Machine Problem My iMac is using macOS Catalina 10.15.7. Time Machine is (trying) to backup to an external WD 4 TB drive. I also have data saved on a WD external 500 GB drive. But since hooking up the 500 GB drive, Time Machine is failing to backup. I've attached the error message. Any advice to fix this, please?

Time Machine not working Time Machine on my iMac (Mojave) has not backed up for several days. Restarting doesn't help. The external HD 'Time Machine Ext' is connected; its icon appears on the desktop. Message says: "Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to "TIME MACHINE Ext" Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while creating the backup folder." I would attach the screen shots but there does not seem to be a way to do so. Thanks for any help!

Hello,

Lets try turning Time Machine off in System Preferences -> Time Machine then back on.

Disk is full. TM is asking to create a new backup, deleting all old, after verifying backups dating to 2017.

No option to delete oldest backups and carry on, the desired procedure. Any thoughts on why?
