I realised that with the new Apple TV app there is a function to merge or add content from other service providers such as Netflix and others.
How do I go about doing this? I can't seem to find anywhere an option, in iOS or MacOS, to do this.

That has no user-configurable settings. Third party apps allow this/have provisions for this – or not: their choice. And the Apple TV app picks that up.

As far as I understand it, it doesn’t pick up on your subscription, it picks up on the presence of the app, and the content that this app can offer.
The Apple TV app won't be available on Mac until the fall, as part of the next update. As it gets closer to that time we will probably gain a better understanding of how things will work on that platform.
I see. So if I'm subscribed to HBO or some other content provider on that list, how does the Apple TV app pick that up?
Im just confused by how this works and keen to understand it.
Thanks, that makes sense from iOS point of view. But wonder how it would work on MacOS as most of these content providers (if not all) don't have dedicated Mac apps like they would for iOS.
