imovie effects
i recently updated my computer to macOS mojave version 10.14.6, and it updated imovie to version 10.1.2. there are no effects available to me such as earthquake, fisheye, etc. and i was wondering how to get them. thank you!

Current version Mojave is 10.14.5 and current version iMovie is 10.1.12. Updating your operating system will not update or upgrade iMovie, because iMovie is not attached to the operating system. It is a separate app.
The video effects of earthquake and fish-eye were features of earlier versions of iMovie. In iMovie 10 the video effects are called filters and are accessed via the clip filters and audio effects icon (the one that has three overlapping circles) in the tool bar at the upper right of your screen. The features that you refer to are not available as features in iMovie 10. iMovie 10 does not accept third party plug-ins, so there is no way of adding these effects to the app.
