Why is Facetime acting up???

So I’ll be on facetime and after a couple minutes of being on facetime my phone would start acting up. As in, i’ll be on facetime talking to someone and it’ll take me to my home screen. So clearly i am on paused in the middle of my facetime call. When i try to go back to facetime, it will not allow me to. Then my screen will get blurry and if i keep pressing “Touch to resume Facetime” my call will hang up. This has been happening for a couple days now. Please help. I have an iPhone 8+ and i got it in October of 2018. This phone is fairly new and this only happens on facetime.

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try a forced restart.

Reset Device

If necessary

Hard reset

You will need to restore the device to factory settings. Do not restore from a backup made when the Screen Time code was active.

Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.

Restore to Factory setting

Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backupDo you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
