Sim card is invalid

help with problem! I bought an iPhone X in America. It is not accepts SIM card. Tried does not work, says SIM card is invalid. is there any way to remove this lock so I can put a SIM card ?

If it is locked to a carrier, only the original carrier can unlock that device, if you're eligible.

sim locked Iphones needs to be unlocked by the carrier they are locked to before other sim cards can be used
