I had made a connection from Finder>go>connect to a server, I have since changed the IP address of the other computer (I'm using statics on my network) and since then I keep getting a error message every time I boot this Mac up showing the old IP and saying it can't connect to it. this popup wont stop , where do I go to clear this out so it wont keep popping up.
Start by by deleting any entries in from Finder>go>connect to a server> Favorites.
I have done that but no change the only ip in there now is the new one
And it's SMB correct, not AFP?
smb://192.168.1.xxx is the new server I can connect to it's the old ip that keeps popping up trying to connect
not in the login items will try safe boot
I think my Skype Mic Not Working issue may be due to some kind of server problem so I want this to be fixed as early as possible. I cannot call anyone after the install of the Skype in my system.
Where is the older IP?
Not in favorites?
Is it in Sys Prefs>Users & Groups>Login Items?
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the connect to old IP problem occur in Safe Mode?
