How can the name under an icon in Launchpad (Mojave) be renamed? I tried suggested ways but none worked. One way I found is to open the icon and have it in the tray on the desktop. Double click (two fingers) the tray icon and a menu appears. Select Options>Show in Finder and then in Finder you can rename it. Are there any other ways.
Being that it just mimics what exists in your Applications folder, you would have to rename the original items stored there. Sometimes, that is not possible.
