MacBook pro connects to mobile hotspot but no internet

Hi all, hoping to get some help here with a new issue that just started today. I have a Samsung S9 that I have regularly operated a mobile hotspot from in the past and had no issues connecting to it and using the data from my MacBook Pro. Today it just stopped working. The phone still has access to data. The MacBook connects to the hotspot when it's turned on. But there is no data passing between phone and MacBook. I have no idea what's changed and I need the data connection for work fairly urgently.

I worked out what it was. my retarded phone service provider has a promo on at the moment where they give you 25Gb of data for free with a 24hr validity. one of the conditions is that all hotspot data is switched off for the 24hrs. that data just expired and now i have full functionality again, minus all my saved networks after deleting them while trying to solve this.

thanks for taking the time to try to help with this

Reset your SMC and Your NVRAM.

Changes Occur, and sometimes your Mac needs to reset itself and get back to its default operations.

If connections of sorts are not working, then what seems to be the issue is that caches are getting in the way of interoperability.

With too many temporary files, this must be cleaned. So perform the above.

"Same behavior again."

AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider):

With Samsung being an involved device, other than Apple Support Communities, I recommend taking this to an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) --- One, who can offer you the service of Data Recovery.

Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller. Click: Service & Support > Enter your location information, and see if there is an AASP nearby. Contact one that pops up, and find out more about the data recovery services that they offer to fix this.
