Does using MacFanControl harms Macbook?

I've downloaded MacFanControl from its website.

Because I'm using my Macbook all the time, and I'm opening a lot of applications and especially for the hot weather in my country, my Macbook gets hot.

I just want to know, I if speed-up my Macbook's fan, it will get harms or not?

I just want to keep it cool (:

Regards.

It's usually best to keep fan control to the Mac, it knows when it needs to increase the speed. Having said that I have Mac Fans Control installed on my Mac, and use it occasionally when rendering movies. It is best not to have the fans running at high speed for too long, as this can wear out the bearings, and certainly never run them at full speed. It might be beneficial if you can have a desktop fan to blow air over the Mac if it the ambient temperature is high.
