lower portion of my screen has a chip

So I am super careful with my mac, but a couple times when i have picked it up while its closed, there is a sound that kind of sounds like crunching. I have opened my mac to look and never seen anything. Well i opened it today and where the screen connects to the base there is what looks like a small crack. I am sure everybody says this but I have not dropped it. I have only had it for a little over a month.....is there something i can do?
