Battery issues for Macbook pro 2017 (13-inch with touchbar)

I bought my MacBook Pro (2017, 13-inch, 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports with Touch Bar) in December 2017.

I've been connecting it to an external monitor via a USB-C hub (Hyperdrive.com), and it was all working fine. Lately the MacBook has been spontaneously restarting when connected to the hub + monitor, and now suddenly the battery has completely stopped charging. The battery status says "Replace Now".

Has anyone else had battery issues with this model, or problems connecting to an external monitor? Or experience with the hyperdrive hub? Just trying to work out what happened and what my options are.

It seems ridiculous that in less than two years, the battery on a MacBook Pro has become completely non-functional.

Hi,

MacBook Pro 2017 13inch without Touch Bar is battery recall, but your is with Touch Bar.

I'm not sure the differences between with Touch Bar and none Touch Bar battery, though try to contact Apple support or make Genius Bar reservation to talk about the battery.
