Apple Pencil doesn’t work

My Apple Pencil is new(1st generation with iPad 2018 9.7) and it while it does get paired with the iPad but doesn’t stay connected for more than 2 seconds. Whenever I try to reconnect it, it just says to make sure to turn on the Apple Pencil and make sure it is in range. Ive been charging it efficiently and no amount of restarting or turning bluetooth on and off works.

Hello,


Let’s try this, head into Settings -> Bluetooth -> Apple Pencil -> Forget device. Restart your iPad. Once your iPad has powered back on pair your Apple Pencil by inserting it into the Lightning port of your iPad.
