Too many tabs on iPhone
I have so many tabs that are open on safari and for some reason I can’t delete them. Is there a way to delete them even though I have an iPhone?

With Safari running on the phone, tap the double squares icon in the lower right part of the screen. That will bring up all of the open tabs/windows in Safari. Start tapping on the X’s in the upper left corner of each window to close them.
The tab isn't staying, it's just displaying the next tab. If you want to close all of them go to Settings/Safari and tap Clear History and Website Data.

That’s what I’ve been doing but when I tap on the x’s they disappear but the tab stays
