What is the setting to have all photos and videos download to my iMac automatically? It gets tiring to have to wait 40 minutes for a video to download to my iMac each time I want to view it.
This isn't a discussion on internet speeds or other criteria. I just want to know how to set up Photos to have everything in my iCloud photos library on my computer so I can use them immediately.
Once you set up iCloud account https://support.apple.com/kb/ph2609?locale=en_US ( the photos box must be checked in system preferences > iCloud ) you need to set up iCloud photo library https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204264

The download originals box must be checked , the photos will start syncing .
The settings must be as per screen shot .

By mistake the post is duplicated the wifi connection was disconnected .
