Android Apple Music 2FA SMS

When signing in to my iCloud account on Windows iTunes or any browser, the 2FA prompt will always have a fallback "Didn't Get a Verification Code?" option that will SMS the code to the primary phone number on file.

However, on the Apple Music client for Android, there is no such option and the dialog simply waits for the verification code. It is indeed sent to Mac devices on file. So first run is OK. I'm just concerned that if my Apple Music session were to somehow expire on the phone while away from my Mac desktop I would be unable to authenticate with the client and be bereft of my sweet jams.

Is there any workaround (apart from disabling 2FA altogether) and/or is this something on the horizon?

Thanks all
