My headphone port doesn’t work

When I plug headphones in, or an adapter. It plays out of my speakers. Out loud. I have an iPhone 7, my phone charges perfectly. It’s just anything else, it doesn’t work. Because it plays out of my speakers and not through the headphones. I cleaned my charger port but it is still doing it. Why?

Wired lighting port connector not working for headphones or aux cord. So this happened yesterday around 5-6 pm, I connected in my apple wired earbuds normally through the lightning connector and everything was fine, but later on my earbuds and aux cord stopped working on my iPhone 12, they work if I test it using other iPhones but on my phone it won’t do anything, the sound still plays through my phone speakers. I know my lighting connector still works because I can still connect my charger to my phone and it charges fine, I tried cleaning my lighting connector and the same nothing happened, I tried cleaning my ear buds lightning connector and it still did nothing. What should I do to fix this? Your help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sound cutting out when something is plugged into the charger port. My iPhone 12 Pro has been acting up recently when something is plugged into the charger port. When it is earbuds (apple brand) it refuses to play sound (whether videos or music) and will act very slow. However, the moment I pull them out it acts normal. Also, these earbuds work fine on other phones. When plugged into the charger port, it will play videos and music but will cut out sound every 35 seconds for 2 seconds. I should mention the phone has no issues charging. I’ve rebooted, shut down, uninstalled, cleaned out the port, everything trying to fix this. My best guess is that something was knocked out of place inside the phone causing a connection problem, as it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the accessories, apps, and is not fixed with simple restarting techniques. Any advice on how to fix this problem?

You probably have a damaged pin. Make a Genius Bar appointment and have it looked at.
