MacBook Camera not Working

Has anyone received the following message: "FaceTime has not received any video from the connected camera. Restarting your computer may fix this issue."? For whatever reason, my MacBook's camera is not displaying a visual. The green light turns on, but the screen remains black. I've tried running the camera in FaceTime, PhotoBooth, and online applications such as Zoom/Skype, and no luck.

I've also tried re-starting my macbook pro, but it did not fix the issue. I've also tried various work arounds using terminal, i.e., sudo killall VDCAssistant; etc. No luck with any of these "fixes."

BTW: (MacBook Pro purchased in Dec 2016 - running MacOS Mojave)

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

It could be possible that your MacBook Pro has hardware related issue.

Try to run Apple Diagnostic if it reports something.
