Why i can not get rid of huge (self-generated) system files on my iPhone 7 plus?

Dear All

I tried to update my iPhone (7 plus, 128 GB) and found its storage is full; After transferring all my data and erase all the data and settings there is still 126.9 GB system data. How is it possible to system file be generated on its own?!

I have done the following terms:

  • Update directly on WiFi connection
  • Restore and update using iTunes

So, how can I get rid of this files?!

Best Regards,

iPhone 7 Plus

Use iTunes to:-

Backup

Restore as new

Restore from backup

(Erasing all content and settings properly should not have left any more than a few GB of system files as it should restore it as new)
