Can't delete a bootcamp partition

Hi everybody,

My problem is, I used to have a Windows partition via Bootcamp, but I don't want it anymore, so I proceed to delete it using Disk Utilities and I delete it, in fact I formatted my Mac Book Pro (using the command Cmd + Shift + R). All seems to be perfect and I'm using for a while instead a Bootcamp disk doesn't appear anymore at my sidebar window in Finder, but today when I restart my MBP pressing option a Windows partition (disk) appears and I don't want it anymore. Any solution for it?

Thanks in advice for any help to me!

Normally, Windows is removed from a Mac using BC Assistant, not Disk Utility, because it cleans up properly.

You have a Microsoft directory in your EFI partition, which points a now non-existent partition. This Microsoft directory should be removed.

Oh! I think I do it all wrong. Because I just remove the partition, without BC Assistant. That's make sense. Lol, sorry if I bother you but, do you know how to remove that Windows partition? You say something about EFI but I'm not familiarize with that term. I'll appreciate your help if you could teach me how to remove it please.

P.D. That EFI partition doesn't go away if even I formatted my MBP from the scratch? (Because that was I did :S)

Thank you so much for your help!

Oh Lord, you're a magician!

I do the steps above and, appears the following folders:

EFI > Bootlog (exec file) and EFI (folder)

> EFI (folder) > APPLE (folder), Boot (folder) and Microsoft (folder)

APPLE (folder) > EMBEDDEDOS (folder), EXTENSIONS (folder), FIRMWARE (folder) and UPDATERS

Boot (folder) > bootx64.efi (exec)

Microsoft (folder) > Boot (folder) and Recovery (folder)

...

There're many folders inside each root folder and I don't want to bother you (more), and what I can I do next?

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help!

Thank you, already do the following steps. I reboot my MBP and Windows Bootable disk doesn't appear anymore, instead an EFI Boot disk appears, it's normal?

Did you run SMC and NVRAM Reset?

Could I unmount it? (in case I reboot my Mac just Macintosh HD disk appears).

Yes.

Sir, you solve my issue, I hope you have a great day/week, thanks for your time. :)

Glad to see it working a bit better! 👍

Yes, I did. Both options.

Yes.

Please, teach me how?

Thank you so much again, I think I almost done with this issue, I just only need to know how to unmount the EFI Boot disk from the boot option when reboot and press and hold option key.

Thanks!
