Apple Card Invite Issue

I submitted my Apple ID which is my email to Notify Me a couple days ago, and I just received an e-mail from Apple with the subject line "Your invite to Apple Card is waiting."

I thought it was the invite but this was the body of the email:

"Here’s your chance to get early access to Apple Card.

You wanted to be one of the first to get Apple Card — a new kind of credit card created by Apple, not a bank. Good news: Here’s your chance to experience Apple Card before everybody else, so you can help us get ready for the public launch. Your early access invitation is waiting, but we need your Apple ID to send it. The email address you provided does not match an Apple ID signed in to iCloud. Just complete a few simple steps so we can send your invitation.

How to get your invitation:

  • Make sure your iPhone is running iOS 12.4. To update, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Take note of the Apple ID used to sign in to iCloud on your iPhone. To see your Apple ID, go to Settings, then tap your name.
  • Set a passcode for your iPhone, if you don’t have one already. To set a passcode, go to Settings, tap Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode, then tap Turn Passcode On.
  • Go to apple.com/apple-card and tap Notify Me to enter your Apple ID.

Invitations may take up to 48 hours to arrive."

The email that Apple sent the above email to is the email I use for my Apple ID, I checked and double checked.

My iPhone X is running 12.4, I have a passcode set on my phone, my region is the United States, and I am over 18 years old.

I am on Family Sharing, that is the only reason I could think of that affects this... but I am over 18 and I have my own Apple ID that I use, would that make a difference since I am not the organizer of the account?

Anybody else have this problem and know what to do next?

Thanks

iPhone X

Hello welafever,

I did your entire checklist and I appreciate it, but my settings were already right, and I double checked to make sure I had 2 factor authentication enabled, that I had my region as US on my phone and Apple ID, that my iPhone X was updated to 12.4, that I was signed into iCloud with the same e-mail Apple sent the above email too, and I restarted my phone and still no offer in the Wallet when I press the plus button.

Any other ideas?

Yes I followed the link in Step 7 and did what Apple said to do. I made sure that I was eligible in Step 1 "See if you're eligible" then I went to Step 2 "Start your application" and when I click the + button in the Wallet there is no Apple Card option.

Seems like other people are having this problem too, do you think it could be a problem on Apple's end?

I talked to Apple Support and they said engineering was aware of the problem. All they told me to do was redo the checklist (make sure I was 12.4, that I was signed into the right Apple ID), and then put my Apple ID email into the Notify Me box again. I already resubmitted my email to Notify Me again yesterday though, so the person on Apple Support said not to do it again since I did it yesterday. He told me to wait 48 hours from yesterday to see if I receive an invite, and if not contact him again. Pretty frustrating call.
