I have a handful of .pkg update installers and I can't delete them.
The largest of these is: macOSUpdCombo10.14.5Auto.pkg
I am currently running 10.14.6
I would love to free up this space. I imagine the file is unnecessary since I am running a more recent OS now.
I attempted to command+option+delete, but no luck.
What are the Sharing And Permissions on that file, highlight the file press Command-i at the bottom of the panel
is the Sharing and Permissions, can you add your Admin account to list.
Have you tried dragging the file into the Trash.
Are you logged in using an Admin account, if so Control-click on the item and then press Move To Trash.

I tried dragging to the trash and interestingly enough get this message:
“macOSUpdCombo10.14.5Auto.pkg” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by macOS."
I'm also unable to modify the permissions on the file and ironically get the message:
"The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have the necessary permission."

Well I'm faculty, so they issue me a mac with the OS and Creative cloud, the rest is up to me, that's really the end of their "admin" duties! It's the first time I've had any issues like this though, normally I have no issues administering the computer.
I do have admin privileges (though the computer was set up for me at a university so there's another administrator account).

You will probably need to login from the university account.
