trackpad freezing

My macbook air trackpad is freezing very often gets back again if I close and open my laptop, but this is annoying more when I'm in the middle of work.

TRACKPAD ISSUE My trackpad suddenly freeze out of nowhere. The first aid I did was turn off my laptop. I thought it’s fixed already but it came back after just a few minutes. When my mac is turned off, I can softly touch the trackpad but when it’s turned on, there are times that it’s having its issues. Also, there is no update available. What should I do?

Macbook trackpad freezing MacBook Pro 16" (2021) 12.2.1 Trackpad freezes so I can't swipe between full-screens apps/ pages/ Mission Control. Only solution os to restart. Anyone else experience this? Suggestions? Thanks

Hi,

Try to run Apple Diagnostics or Apple hardware test if it's a hardware related issue.
