Powerbeats pro ringing in one ear / not working
For some reason, my left earbud on my Powerbeats pro won't work and just emits a high pitched ringing sound. I've tried re-setting it, but didn't work. Any suggestions?

Hey,
I had this problem, then I downloaded the "Beats Updater" program from the beatsbydre website. Put my headphones in the case, plugged it into my Windows PC via USB, found they were already up-to-date. Renamed them, and when I unplugged them the noise was gone and I could re-pair them.
Not sure what part of that process fixed the issue, but those are all the steps I took in case anyone else wants to try.

I was having the same issue (with my right earbud). I downloaded the beats updater, renamed my Powerbeats Pro, went into my iPhone settings, 'forgot' my headphones and repaired. Problem solved.
I had a high pitched ringing sound in the left ear bud so I forgot them in my Bluetooth settings and then repaired them and the ringing stopped
Hey,
Had this problem as well, so I went to Settings>Bluetooth and forgot the device then reconnected. Everything works just fine now. Hope this helps.
Updated my iPhones software and that solved the issue! Hopefully doesn’t happen again.
forget device
press and hold connect button on case You 15 seconds w earphones in place.
reconnect
should work
Maybe because it bolsters the fix as being right?
why log on to put others input (or agreeing with your fix for that matter) down?
And also, I managed to fix it by simply plugging mine in to charge for about 30 seconds.
Smh.... chill out dude
Just sharing an experience I just come across. My left earbud had the same issue. Since I was on the street I cant do the “regular” fix, so I put it back to the case and continued using my right earbud. After 20 mins or so, I took the left bud out and it worked without issue. No reset, no forgot and reconnect. Just put it back for some time and take it out
I just plugged mine into a PC to charge for 30 secs and it fixed it
If you forget your earbuds then re-pair them it stops the noise.
Hi. This helped me so I'm bothering to log in and help. There's a step not listed above.
This is all the above said to do. When I got here, it gave me a "Not your Powerbeats Pro" message, and refused to pair. Called Beats department.
Step 5: Reset your Beats case with the earbuds in them. Not 3 or 5 seconds. 15 seconds. Should turn red briefly after the 15 sec, then to white, and then to slowly flashing white. Should give you the normal pair your new Apple headphones pop-up.
Just plug it in via USB to anything and it will go away
Hi there, jcadet11,
Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand from your post that one of your Powerbeats Pro earbuds don't seem to work as expected. I'm happy to help!
I see you've already reset the earbuds. Since that hasn't solved your problem, I'd recommend getting in touch with Apple Support directly for additional assistance. You can do that here: Contact Apple Support.
Have a lovely day!
I have a similar problem with the right earbud emitting a high pitched ringing noise on top of the music and the updater said I was up to date with my firmware and I can't get rid of the ringing. Does anyone else have a different fix that might work?
Yeah... all these common sense responses are kinda useless. Of course you should disconnect and forget the device... like what? Why bother logging in to post that?
Literally just had the same problem again, my solution was the only one that helped. I think people who come to this page have tried the common sense solutions.
