Soft text sounds on iPad pro

My text messages are a lot softer than the ringtones. This is my second iPad as I had to return the first due to the same thing. The apple store said that is as loud the text alerts are and said there nothing they could do. My old iPad was always loud on text. I purchased on alert on the iTunes Store and I tested it before purchase and was very loud. As soon as I picked it as a text tone it went to being soft or muffled. I’m getting tired of this as this iPad wasn’t cheap.

Hello,

Ringtones and alert tones have a separate volume level which can be accessed in Settings -> Sounds.

Open Control Center by swiping from the top right hand corner of your ipad? How much white do you see on the taller icon with a speaker in it? If you see more black than white, slide the white bar higher and text sounds should go up.

I have iPad Pro 11, no home button and text and system sounds aren’t muted at all. Is your iPad in a protective case which is possibly affecting the output from the speakers?

It’s all white. That still makes everything muffled. The apple store was puzzled with the first IPad Pro I returned and the second one they issued me is doing the same thing. I think it’s because it’s the new version without the home button. My friend has the same iPad but the early generation with the home button and her works fine.
