NEW Apple Credit Card application problem

Hello! This is about the pre launched apple credit card that has been sent out to select customers the past few weeks preparing for Apples main launch. I received the email inviting me to fill out a application for early access. When I click the link to go to my wallet I recieved a error message when hitting continue to start the application. Saying “apple card unavailable. Apple Pay services are currently unavailable.” I contacted apple support, which was no help. My iPhone is up to date, the region is correct and I went through everything apple support thought would be wrong and still no luck. My iCloud matches the email I recieved as well. I reloaded my phone and then when I tried again to apply a new message popped up saying that it’s only for select customers? Not sure what is going on with apple but pretty disappointed in it already. So much for all the hype. Thanks to anyone for advice!!

Same exact thing happened to me after reading your post. I also received the email and clicked from the link in the email to apply. It gives me the error:


Apple Card preview

Apple Card is currently only available to customers participating in the Apple Card preview. Please try again later.


I am also completely eligible in every aspect support mentions. So only available to customers participating.... come on! I should not have been sent a email to participate to be given a error message as this. Hope it gets fixed for you. I am about to give up on it since I’ve spent too many days trying to get it to work and looking for a solution.

Hello! Thank you for your fast input. I received that same email and I am honestly pretty disappointed. I’ve been impatiently waiting for the “early access” email and when I got it the wallet is unavailable? I was sure it would be fixed already or I could at least get some useful help from apple support themselves but no. I woke up and tried again and got the message you received. I tried to resubmit the notify me but I doubt I’ll get another invitation before it released to everyone.

Your welcome. It’s strange that we are receiving the new message now even though we were invited. Go figure. I’m pretty disappointed too. I am waiting to buy a new Mac and a new iPad Pro to take advantage of the card benefits but I can’t wait much longer. I also meant a good 60hrs waiting for another invite...not 36hrs so I doubt I will receive it either. 😔

Exactly I’m almost worried that even when it does come out that it won’t let me or something you know? Like my name in their system is already messed up so for a $1,000 iPhone I can’t even get the full perks of having a new iPhone. It sucks. I’m running out of time too. I need to start getting more credit lines and since they want to appeal to everyone I thought it would be good for me but I guess not!

Yes thank you for your post. I have seen it on lot of posts here and I meet EVERY single one of those. I don’t get to the part where I need SS number, drivers license or any of that. I hit continue and get that error..... I’ve tied from my iPhoneX as well as my iPad Pro Touch ID. I am using the same Apple ID I have had since the early 2000’s. It is not a iCloud or me account. Does that matter? My regular email is what I use for Apple ID and iTunes purchases.

Gosh. I hope it lets you. And hope they get your name fixed! Yes..l agree and if what they say is true than it would be a good card for you. I have enough credit cards but I’m a Apple supporter and want to take advantage of the cash back options. I have impeccable credit... I don’t think it can get much better than mine but here we have 2 different scenario’s where you are trying to build yours and I’m trying to take advantage of the perks and we are both in the same situation so don’t be so hard on yourself. I would hope it’s just a glitch on their end and hopefully these issues will be resolved soon. Crossing my fingers for you!
