Is there such a thing as a physical security key, such as Yubi Key (which does not yet appear to be available for Apple devices), that's browser-independent and works for Macbook Air and other Apple devices?
The available security keys seem to require Chrome or Microsoft devices -- and tend to have USB connectors rather than Apple's elite connectors.
Have to unravel the mystery of 2-factor verification when traveling overseas from US.
The Yubikey 5Ci dual key (for MacBook Air or other USB-C Macs as well as for iPhones and other iOS devices) was released today.
I haven't used it but the following has USB-C keys and also claims to be compatible with macOS. https://www.yubico.com/
Sorry, I focused on "MacBook Air" which I believe is currently available. The one that they state is coming soon has both USB-C and Lightning connector for iPhones and other iOS devices.
