Why does Apple TV show up as an option when I am on a phone call and tap "Speaker" ... I don't want to see this as now it requires me to tap twice for speaker phone (trust me, this is annoying!).

*Solved* (at least for me anyway). I did a hard reset on my iphone X (Volume up, Volume down, Hold power button until apple logo). Then made a test call and the apple tv audio source went away.
Was on a trip. Buddy brought his apple tv, we air played to it. For the next 3 days that apple tv came up as an audio source for calls even though he lives in an entirely different house in our complex. Good luck
Your incredibly annoying bug is a "FEATURE"? Wow... Apple really has gotten lame. Who EVER wants to take a phone call on their AppleTV? Stop being lazy and fix this!

Yes I tried the unpairing from the Apple TV and it’s no where near in close proximity (different floor, different room across the house).
Is your Apple TV connected via WiFi or Ethernet?
Yes, happens with Bluetooth off and airplay off as well

None of these work. There is not a ”Calls to other Devices” option in settings. But thanks for the input.

I use the remote that came with the Apple TV. And no you wouldn’t want to transfer a call to Apple TV but it does resolve the issue where the Apple TV shows up as an option after pressing speaker. That was the original issue.
This definitely does NOT solve this. Removing the Apple TV(s) from your Apple ID account is essentially saying you don't own the Apple TV anymore and they won't be able to do anything. Download apps, share purchases, etc.
It DOES solve the problem but as I stated before, it creates other problems. Bottom line is this is a design flaw that Apple needs to address. For me, being able to toggle between ear and speaker on my iphone is more important than not being able to use the other icloud features on my Apple TV. It's lame to have to make this choice but this is Apple's fault. Sorry, no good news here

I am really thinking that Apple Bonjour (Multicast DNS) is forcing itself upon your devices.
I haven’t been able to root cause this yet but LemonJar makes a log tool called iOS Console you can connect your Apple TV and your iOS Device and see the logs real time on the Mac and see what is triggering that whole fiasco.
But doesn't it affect the usage of the AppleTV with my iPhone or apple ID?

check it you have both updates for iphone and tv os 13.3 then after you do so just turn off WiFi and bluetooth on the phone reset your phone turn then back on it’s worth trying
so I have to turn off wifi every time my phone rings and then turn it back on (Same amount of clicks or more).
there should be an option to turn this off? Everybody is on Wifi when @home..
