Storage on iPhone for photos
If I have iCloud Photos turned on, do they take up storage space on my iPhone, iMac, iPad as well as Cloud storage?

Usually only low resolution copies are stored on your devices when iCloud Photos turned on. But you can store originals. Open Settings -> Photos -> Download and keep originals (for iPhone) or Photos -> Preferences -> iCloud -> Download and keep originals (for Mac).
