How to accept apps before updating them in app store

I just got my MacBook Air and I already have 5 apps to update but when I press "update" in AppStore it says that I need to accept them first in my account. I have tried to do it but cannot find this option anywhere. Has anyone had the same problem?

have you checked in your Purchases section? You will most likely need to download them first (are they Apple apps like Pages, Numbers, iMovie, etc?).
