Blocking Email

How do I block a sender of an email on a MAC using the Apple mail program? I know there are third party apps that let you do that on IOS devices, but I was hoping that Apple's Mail App would have that capability on the MAC. I am currently using Mojave.

Mac mail, both computer and iOS versions, allows us to block senders. But mail from Blocked senders is still placed in my mailbox with a note it is from a blocked sender. Is there a way to actually block the mail from unwanted senders? “Blocked mail” is repeatedly placed in my inbox with a note that it is from a blocked sender. Is there a way to actually block the mail? My settings are set to have blocked mail go directly into junk, but this is not happening. Is there a fix for this? this happens on MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone.

blocking emails How do I block emails on my iMac? I know to right click the email address on the incoming mail message then select "Block Contact". This does not delete the email or move it to Junk, nor does it stop another message from the same sender coming into the mailbox the next day. It just comes in with the little red slash/circle saying " message was sent from a Blocked Sender". Is this how it is supposed to work? Other mail services don't work this way. Same issue exists on iPhones. I am on Monterey 12.6.5 mail mail provider is Comcast.

Create a rule to auto delete the offending sender's emails when received.
