Why can't I pause video on my iPhone?

Why is it Android phones have a video pause button yet iOS iPhones do not? Everybody I know who has an iPhone wonders the same thing. Is there a possibility it might appear with iOS13?

Videos , pausing? I switch from my nice Motorola android about four years ago to the iPhone 5 and now the 6s. I’d like to upgrade to the 11 however I’m still not that impressed .why on earth after all these models does iPhone still not have a pause feature while taking a video ? How can I pause while recording a video on iPhone 11 Pro? I do not see the option to pause a video recording on my iPhone 11 Pro. I was making a video of birthday celebration in the family. While doing so there was a slight interruption and I wanted to pause the recording to resume later momentarily but I realised that there was no pause button. Why is that?

if I go into photos and start a video I've recorded and click the screen while it plays I got a pause button in the upper right corner of the screen
