Unparing iTunes from Windows Media Player

I want to know is there a way to stop songs going from iTunes onto Windows Media Player?

This is almost certainly currently being done by WMP itself and not iTunes. WMP is probably configured to monitor and import music it finds in the iTunes music library folder.

You therefore need to look in the WMP settings and tell WMP to stop 'watching' the iTunes folder.
