Mountain Standard Time is NOT Cupertino time

Why doesn’t IOS allow proper home setting of time zone? Faulty implementation continues as it has for more than one year where home time zone is Arizona which remains on MST all year round. Yet, when setting a calendar event during any date range where daylight savings time in the Pacific zone is in effect wrongly remembers the calendar time zone as “Cupertino, CA” rather than MST which is correctly specified on my iPhone XS Max as being Phoenix.

The fact this occurs stinks of sloppy programming for proper time keeping. This is particularly true when this problem was solved for programming purposes in the last century.

The fact that such an issue, with a well known programming method to eliminate leaves me concerned that other functionality which should be expected as being well established is likewise overlooked and not validated for real world use.
