Macbook Air internet connectivity

Why can't i access the internet using brand new Macbook Air, when sitting next to it are my old (Windows) HP lap top, my ipad and both my iphone Se's go on line straight away.

Can't connect to internet I can connect to wifi with my iphone and ipad, but not with my mac. Is there some way I can just send the wifi settings from my ipad to my mac? I can connect to the iPhone via the Personal Hotspot, but not to the Internet. My iPhone connects to the Internet directly through Safari, but the MacBook Air cannot!
