Forgot my apple id
i bought this phone from this guy and and he reset it and he had find my iPhone on and when I tried to quick start it it showed up activation lock .

He needs to remove the device from his account if that’s the case.
have him log into his Apple ID on find my iPhone on another device or iCloud.com/find and remove the phone from account. Once done, restart the phone and you should be able to use it. Or factory restore it using iTunes to completely remove anything and everything from the previous user.
