IPhone cannot be synced. There are too many files open currently.

When I connect my iPhone 82 my iMacWhen I connect my iPhone 82 my iMacWhen I connect my iPhone 8 to my iMac to synchronize I received an error "The iPhone cannot be synced. There are too many files open currently." Does anyone know what this means, why it is happening, and how to fix it?

syncing I[hone 6 plus with Windows 10 Laptop trying to sync my iphone 6 plus -photos & videos with Laptop- windows 10 Problem is it seems to get stuck at 4 of 5 for a long time then eventually -unknown error -54 - then it restarts the process again with same results Anyone able to advise how to fix this problem ?

Are both iTunes on macOS, and iOS, updated to current? IOS would be at 12.4.

If there be add-on anti-virus or anti-malware lurking here, or add-on cleaning tools, remove those per the vendors’ instructions, and reboot.

There was an old version of Malwarebytes that I stopped using years ago. it has been uninstalled and that message is gone now. Thanks.

Reboot both the Mac and the iPhone, and see if it works better?
