iphone 8+ camera

So, I'm trying to take a close up photo with phone camera in horizontal position. When I go to look at the picture, it won't stay in horizontal position when I then turn camera horizontally to look at picture. Normally if hold camera vertically, it would fit to screen, and when held horizontally it would enlarge and fit to screen that way. I used to be able to do this by turning camera in opposite horizontal position, not remembering which way was correct for this option. Not having any luck now.

Not sure I stated that coherently, but hope someone has an answer.

Thanks

Thanks, Sravankra. I tried photo, portrait and square, while holding phone horizontally. When I tried to view picture holding camera horizontally the picture would rotate to a smaller image view.....not filling the screen with the horizontal picture. Sometimes the horizontal view shows in a small image when holding phone vertically, and then when I rotate the phone horizontally, the picture rotates to a full screen horizontal view....like it should.

Weird. I'm so confused. Now sometimes it's working the way I want and then not. Driving me nuts. I'd provide pictures but my husband's Android rotates them in a way I can't get across my point. Sheesh. Oh well. But there has to be a way to dictate how it you want it.
