Is it really necessary to wait 24 hours for the ability to reset a password? I don't know of any other company that has this requirement.
This is due to losing access to your trusted device. It's not a simple "password reset"
The 24 hour wait is for the first stage. Your wait to "recover your account" may very well be longer.
