Airplane mode for macbook pro
Can I put my macbook pro in airplane mode? I don't want to turn off wifi, and I just thought you could do that, as people do take them on planes.

The Macs do not have the equivalent of the "Airplane Mode" option as the iOS devices do. Enabling this would disable all of the devices radios (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.)
However, one option would be to create a new "Location" to have all of your network devices disabled. Then switch to this location when needed.

Thank you, I was searching this afternoon and did find something like that. It's not what I would like to do, and I am not really concerned about flying. I use my iPad and my iPhone in airplane mode to conserve the battery, and I think I charge my macbook pro too often and use it plugged in a lot, as the battery seems to go down quicker. Thank you though, much appreciated.
Thank you Lani. I am not concerned about flying, I normally use my iPad when flying. I do use my macbook pro for work though, and the battery doesn’t really last that long. I use airplane mode on my iPad all the time and the battery lasts longer. And less EMF rays I think. Thanks again.
In case you didn't know, when your MacBrook Pro is in Sleep mode, when the lid is shut, the Wifi is turned off. And, during take-offs and landings, they should not be stowed in seatback pockets.
