Paperless billing for Apple credit card

The Apple Card IS paperless. You couldn't get paper if you wanted it. EVERYTHING is handled through the Wallet app in your iPhone.

Nope. My first statement was strictly electronic. In the wallet app on the phone.

Not trying to seem thick-headed, but are you sure the statement came from either Apple or Goldman-Sachs? I have never received a paper statement from any Apple transaction, and have only received/seen the online PDF statement in the Wallet app. Something seems "off" as no one else - at least in these forums - has received a Paper statement of any kind, and as you saw from Apple's support pages, no one expects to receive one either.

You don't have to setup anything, you won't receive a paper bill every month.

Sorry, I wasn’t trying to be cryptic. I received my first Apple Card statement today and it was a printed statement that came through the mail. This doesn’t match with your statement that I “couldn’t get paper if I wanted it”. So, does this mean they just send the first statement as paper and all future ones will be electronic only? I can’t find any info online (or on the statement) that makes it clear if there’s a way to prevent future paper statements from being mailed. All I see is that it’s possible to get a pdf version directly from the Wallet app (which I’ve done).

Yes, I’m 100% sure. But these cards just rolled out, so around now is the first time people would start seeing statements. Maybe others will as well over the next few days or weeks. I’m hoping it was a one-time thing for the first statement.

That link shows how to download a pdf copy of your statement, but it doesn't show how to set up true paperless billing. I don't want to receive a paper bill in my mail every month. Is that possible?

A brief sarcastic statement like that explains zero, nada, zip, diddly-squat, nothing, zilch, bupkus. 

Hmmm... The statement date came and went and I received nothing in the mail. Can't explain the discrepancy.

Yeah, I got that one, too. Perhaps my paper statement was a fluke from Goldman-Sachs. I’ve sent in a request via the Wallet app to see what they say.

Odd... so I wonder if turning off notification will result in paper statements for anyone... I never even considered turning the notifications off.

Put it on EBay as a collector’s item before anyone else gets one!!! Very strange.

So it looks like support is just as confused. They stated my account is "listed to receive notifications regarding your account via the email we have that's listed on your account" and they're not sure why I received a paper statement (and can't promise it won't happen again, but they've noted it in my account). Perhaps if you don't have notifications turned on in the Wallet app they send out paper statements? (But I'm pretty sure I already did have notifications turned on...)

Anyway, as it's clear that I have received a precious Apple collectors item in the mail, I thought I would share it with everyone to see what they're missing out on. Please don't be jealous of my lavish spending habits.
