Hello.
Apple team, you are claiming Apple products are the most secure, privacy driven products. How comes almost 3 years after an issue (https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2016/11/how-to-stop-the-wave-of-apple-calendar-alert-spam/) has been discovered with the Calendar invite it never got fixed properly? Why would you empower strangers to send me SPAM by default?

This advice does not seem to be accurate. Clicking on a spam email is generally reckoned to be a good way to install malware. As much to the point, nowhere can I find an option to report junk - only to delete, which I have done, thus signalling that the email is live. I know the basic fault lies with Google but I think Apple should give appropriate advice, and maybe include in setup instructions guidance on configuring external calendars so this is prevented. I have spam in my calendar for every day of the next month and it will populate for the next month once it is Nov. 01.
The problem is that none of the suggestions to FIX this problem work.
I cannot:
Redirecting the notifications to my email does not stop the spam.

If you get a calendar request that you think might be spam or junk, let us know. Sign in to iCloud.com with your Apple ID and go to the Calendar app. Open the event that you wish to mark as Junk, click Report Junk, then click OK. We'll automatically delete the event from your Calendar on all your devices signed in with the same Apple ID.
You can also go to the invitation from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac and choose Report Junk > Delete and Report Junk.
The issue is I shouldn't receive any events into my calendar by default. What's the logic behind this? This doesn't feel like a privacy focused platform at all.
You shouldn't get spam e-mails either.
You have to be proactive.
Your iCloud ID is a standard IMAP compliance address, so spammer an try like an e-mail address.
Sorry, at the moment I suspect something else is happening actually. I will provide an update once I find out the exact cause.

In the end this seems to be generated by the Calendar. I don't know what exactly does it but I just disabled the Calendar and iCloud since I don't want them anyway.

Well, it looks like I have to apologize. In the end the issue seems to have been caused by Google Calendar. Trying to figure it out now.
Clicking on a SPAM message shouldn't install anything. Only once you execute an attachment it may install malware.
