When I upload pictures from my iPhone to iCloud and then download them from iCloud to my PC, the picture files are compressed, smaller in size (KB) than the original. How can I keep the original size file in uploads and downloads? It's frustrating.

So, nothing eh? You and Apple should just admit iCloud compresses pictures to save bandwidth and thus you cannot get download same quality picture from iCloud that you have on your iPhone. phone. That I believe is the real answer.
Thanks for the info but I've already gone through all these steps. Let me restate the question. As an example, I have a photo on my iPhone that is 2.6 MB. I upload it to iCloud (or photo stream auto uploads it). When I download that very same picture from iCloud to my PC the size of the downloaded picture is only 670kb. That's only 25% of the original size, much smaller, and much reduced quality. How do I download and keep 2.6 MB file from iCloud.
Yes, I can and have done that many times. The problem is that others in my family need to download the pictures to their PCs for other uses. I can't send my iPhone to my daughter in Denver so she can transfer the photos to her PC. So I upload them to iCloud expecting that she can download them, full resolution, 2.6 MB, from iCloud when she needs them. If I put a 2.6 MB picture on iCloud I expect to be able to retrieve a 2.6 MB file when I download it regardless the device. The question still is...how can I preserve the full size full resolution photo when uploading and downloading from iCloud?
