iTunes 12.8.1.3 does not show..... For You... Browse or Radio !!!

ITunes 12.8.1.3 does not show..... For You, Browse and Radio. My Library and Store do show. I am paying for iTunes I cannot fully access. I am running Mac OS 10.10.5 Yosemite on a Mac Pro 2 x 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon

Today a update notification came up, and obviously stupidly I clicked on it, the update was Itunes...remote server etc.

Now from what I have read by another purchasers and users of Apple hardware and software have this same problem, apple have just turned away from any responsibility and said to update to Mojave.

If apple are going to send out updates that they know will cause shall we say forced purchases, as many other software installs will need to be upgraded, they should make it very clear to the public that the update will cause a problem, and only update if you are prepared to take the risk!!!

They do not! and as I can hear people say that they do not conveniently "support" older software, They should not send out updates to unsupported software.

I have been a Mac user and musician since the early days of macintosh.

I like the other people have just signed up with apple music having chosen it to be in my opinion about the best regarding sound quality easy visually and my ancient library is still intact. as a non hi res service, I have listened to the lot!!!

I am massively annoyed at the potential of not being able to use itunes/apple music because of a update that in reality has been designed to cause people to have to think about updating, I am not updating but will unsubscribe If I cannot get a working answer to this ridiculous not of my own making problem!!

Apple, are you listening? Those of us with an older computer and operating system are frustrated by this problem. I have restarted my computer ticked relevant boxes, nothing makes it work after the update , so I sugest a quick update to sort this out etc. Any resolve is appreciated.

See How to upgrade to OS X El Capitan - Apple Support in case your hardware might support it. That said there are also reports of users having issues with Apple Music on El Capitan too. Sierra may be a better bet, again if your hardware is suitable. See How to upgrade to macOS Sierra - Apple Support to check.

Hi konrad, I sorted it... I spent a long time with Apple tech on the many calls I had to endure, first to be told I must upgrade my OS which I said no to! Apples tech after a long time of trying the basics said he would put me through to the iTunes tech. A very helpful woman dealt with my problem and we tried everything.... She then suggested she would need some advice and would call me back... She did with a few other things to try.... I had by this time, some hours later... sorted it myself.... What you need to do is completely delete iTunes... Do a search on how to complete this task accurately!!! Then find with another search a older copy of iTunes, I took the advice of one guy on his page and he was using 12.4.3.1 which I am now and it installed and is full working! Apple released a update which caused this but did not have a fix for something that was there responsibility, do not release updates unless fully functional, this update should of said it may cause functionality problems if installed, but it did not, I have turned All software updates OFF

I feel your pain, as others have said downgrading iTunes to 12.4.3.1 is possible and works for me on a 2009 iMac El Capitan but what I don't understand is I have run new versions of iTunes for quite some time 12. 6 and 12. 8 on this very machine and suddenly they've stopped loading the same 3 tabs you describe. I've spent hours with support who have provided guidance to try and resolve but even a complete clean OS X install doesn't solve it. So now I have an iTunes version that is older than one I had working previously so not only has some update caused this loading issue it's moved us all backwards so now iTunes isn't compatible with phones so bang goes your ability to sync! If you get a better solution I'd be interested...

Thanks Apple!
