hi. i’ve been using icloud photos for a while now but i just changed my phone from an iphone 6 to an Xr and all my photos appeared but the albums over created over the years didn’t show up. how do i get them back please!!?

Have you allowed enough time for the sync to complete? If you go to iCloud.com/Photos using a computer browser, do the albums show there?
Try Settings/Your Name/iCloud and slide off syncing. Wait a few minutes and then slide syncing on. Allow time for syncing to occur.
Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?
