apple tv

I can log in to apple on my computer, and turn on home sharing.....but, when I try to log in on my apple tv it doesn't recognize the apple id or password......hmmmm

When signing in on an older device you need to enter the password and code together, and there is a time limit. To avoid exceeding the limit enter the password, then request the code, and add it to the password


Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support


However, if you were only seeing the Computer and Settings icons on your screen then that would mean it isn't properly connected to the network.


Make sure DNS is set to auto

Try connecting via ethernet

To see a current status of the network get a report from istumbler, netstumbler or similar. Look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks

Test on another network
