Licensed Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to ethernet cable adapter

I would like to connect my 2019 Mac Book Pro to an older Mac, the Mac has an ethernet port but my Mac Book does not. This connection requires an ethernet connection to successfully transfer files via Migration Assistant. Can this be achieved with a USB-C to ethernet cable adapter connected to an ethernet cable?


If so, is there any licensed Apple (USB-C) to ethernet cable adapter? If not, what is the next best brand?

Apple doesn't specifically make or have an Apple branded one, but this one from Belkin is sold by Apple:

Apple only sells the white version, but Belkin has a black version:
