keyboard shortcut command , conflict

in google docs, the shortcut for subscripts is command, but safari preferences is also the same exact thing

how do i change either of them because then i cant do subscripts ;(

You can customize Safari's shortcut.

System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> App Shortcuts -> + -> Application: Safari -> Menu Title: Preferences... -> Keyboard Shortcut -> Choose one
